Today I want to discuss the Word I heard from the Creator and how it helped me change my business and my outlook. I was stressing about how to get my YouTube views up and trying to dominate in other areas and I was frustrated and stressed. One morning last year I hear the Word of God as clearly as you hear my voice say “Get smaller to get bigger.”
To me that meant stop trying to do everything, be everything, and focus on everything and focus on what you love and most of all your assignment.
This is what I learned:
# 1 – Let your systems/resources (website, ecosystem, content, etc.,) do the heavy lifting. It doesn’t have to be me personally doing everything. Leverage your resources (your network, software, relationships, etc.).
# 2 – Understand the true value of your time. If you want to make $100,000 a year and you work 40 hours per week for 52 weeks, your hourly rate is $48.07 per hour. $250,000 year = $120.19 per hour. $1,000,000 per year = $480.76 per hour.
# 3 – Guard Your Time. Stop giving away your most precious asset to people that don’t value what you pour into them and understand the law of reciprocity. Work on the things that will move the needle the most and outsource the rest
# 4 – Take time specifically to THINK. Utilize your time to grow your business by taking at least one day per month (eight hours – go to the park or coffee shop and just think) just to think and plan. This will keep you more in line with your goals and objectives. Unwind and let your creative juices flow.
Use this time to:
- List your top 3 priorities
- Solve your most pressing problem
- Measure your progress
# 5 – Take time specifically to CREATE. Utilize your time to create new things (at least one day per month)
- Develop complementary products or services
- Create new marketing strategies/plans
- Create systems
# 6 – Take time specifically to EXECUTE. Take one day per month to work on your execution. What plans need to be executed to grow your business? (at least one day per month)
# 7 – Understand your mission and purpose and run towards it. Recognize and understand who you are, who you serve, and what type of impact you were designed to have on the people you come in contact with. Stop chasing fools’ gold or other people’s dreams.
