BLACK ENTREPRENEUR BLUEPRINT SHOW NOTES – EPISODE # 545
Being an entrepreneur is a tough way to make a living, and if we don’t understand the framework of what makes for a successful business and a successful life, the chances of us reaching those goals are scarce.
TIP # 1 – Evaluate What You Want Your Business To Help You Achieve As It Pertains To Your Business And Life
Determine why you started your business. Ask yourself:
• What was the purpose of starting your business? (is it money, freedom, lifestyle, hating your job, etc.?)
• List the top three reasons for starting your business in order of importance
TIP # 2 – Make Sure Your Business Provides You With The Lifestyle You Want.
Has your business provided you with the income and lifestyle you wanted? (If not, why not?) If not, you need to readjust or recalibrate your business.
• Do you have the flexibility to spend time with your family or work on projects that fulfill you?
• Do you spend too much time working and neglecting other important aspects of your life?
TIP # 3 – Make Time To Get Healthy
Are you working so hard that you have neglected your physical health? Your business and your health are intimately connected. Your health is a function of your business success.
TIP # 4 – How To Fix Your Business:
• Identify what your ideal lifestyle looks like
• Reverse engineer your business to create that lifestyle (if you want freedom and flexibility, you have to have a business that can provide that)
• You may need to rethink your current business, pivot, or scrap it.
