BLACK ENTREPRENEUR BLUEPRINT SHOW NOTES – EPISODE # 462
Today we are going to discuss what I mean by climbing the wrong mountain, what climbing the wrong mountain feels like, and how to find the perfect entrepreneur mountain to climb.
What does climbing the wrong mountain mean and feel like? It means using all your resources and strengths to attain an entrepreneurial dream (or a career dream) that you don’t even want. How many of you are busting your hump in corporate America for a job you can’t stand just for the money? You’re climbing the wrong mountain. How many of you are in a business that you don’t really enjoy because you think you can make money? You’re chasing paper not purpose – you’re climbing the wrong mountain.
You Feel: unfulfilled, bored, angry that you’re wasting your time, frustrated, etc.
How to find the perfect mountain to climb just for you.
When you become an entrepreneur, you know you’re in for a battle. So why not fight a battle that you desire and are equipped for as opposed to fighting the wrong battle?
Here are some questions you need to ask yourself:
- What does your ideal lifestyle look like? – (freedom, flexibility, money, etc.)
- What does your ideal business look like? – (doing something that fulfills you, helping people, doing a specific job)
- What are you passionate about? – (not what you like, but what are you passionate about) Definition of passion is compelled by, or ruled by intense emotion or strong feeling
- What are you good at?
- What will people pay you for?
