3 Things That Are Holding Back Your Business
1 Doing Something Just For The Money – stop chasing money and create a business that is more aligned with your purpose and passions. This will allow you to flow naturally because you’re in alignment. Swim with the current. Not against it. Example: a friend is interested in the mortgage business because of the money when he hates the business, and his real interest is in cars.
2 Not Getting Proof Of Concept For Your Business Idea – Don’t exhaust all resources and time on ideas that aren’t going to work. The true proof of concept is when people spend money. Learn how to test your concepts and have an audience to sell to before you try to sell your product or service. Test your concept with a minimum viable product or service.
3 Not Having A Specific Target Audience And Not Being Able To Market To Them Cost Effectively – You can’t identify a way to get in front of your target audience, maybe because your market has no intersection of two or more audiences characteristics or no direct target groups that will allow you to do so in a cost effective manner. The key is building your database. REMEMBER- it’s all about arbitrage; I have to spend less that I make.
Ask yourself these questions:
- Who is my ideal target audience?
- Where do they hang out and how can I get in front of them (Facebook groups, Quora, ads, etc.)
- Is there an easy way to target them by two or more intersections, such as men over 40, women college graduates from Howard University, etc.? This allows you to hyper-target your message to an audience that has a higher probability of wanting or needing your product or service. For example, you can even go deeper – men over 40 who want to get in shape (a very defined target audience that you can market to with lead magnets).
